In class today, you have to make your own country, with one other person.  You have 20 minutes to research the subject on the Internet, using sources like Wikipedia (http://wikipedia.org).  You need to consider:

 

1.        Name of the country

2.        Location of the country (is it in Asia, the Pacific, or Europe?)

3.        Climate of the country (is it tropical, or desert?)

4.        What language do the people speak?

5.        What do the buildings look like?

6.        What’s the geography of the place?

7.        What are the people like (are they friendly or rude?)

8.        What customs do they have?  What’s their etiquette like?

 

I want you to find new words and you can use your dictionaries to look up the meanings of the words. 

 

Homework tonight:   Write a 150 word essay on your country, including all of the information you researched today.  Email me your essay at http://haydnenglish@yahoo.com and prepare a presentation for this Friday.
